Electric Blue Acara Cichlid The Acara is generally known to be peaceful for a cichlid. This variation is popular among cichlid enthusiasts. Also known as the Powder Blue Acara. Size is around 1-1.5 inches. This dwarf cichlid is in The same family as the green terror (Andinoacara) but is small and peaceful. Unlike larger sized cichlids of this variety the Blue Acara is an excellent choice for semi aggressive community tanks of the smaller type. Maxing out at around 5.5” a mature specimen is a sight to behold with shiny blue and green scales, flowing fins and orange tips. They appreciate driftwood with a diet of pellets and worms.

Arrived next day, good packaging and very beautiful colors, unfortunately after an 2 hours of being in the 80 gallon tank it passed away, seemed very healthy swimming around exploring and then a little bit after an hour it started acting up sinking from time to time, the water temperature was at 72 and acclimated for 30 minutes, no rainbow fish were bullying and the lights were off, but I know stuff happens, but overall I'm happy with the service and looking forward to what other stocking options are available in the future.
