Despite the name "Taiwan," this is an African cichlid from Lake Malawi, originating from the Taiwan Reef area of the lake.

In the wild, this cichlid feeds mostly on algae so protein foods such as bloodworms, etc. should be avoided.

Size is about 2-2.5 inches.
