Tank Setup
Provide a well-planted aquarium with open swimming areas and gentle filtration. Floating plants help diffuse light and make the fish feel more secure. Keep in groups of at least 6 to encourage natural schooling behavior.
Compatibility
Ideal for peaceful community tanks. Can be housed with other small non-aggressive fish such as rasboras, guppies, dwarf shrimp, and other tetras. Avoid aggressive or fin-nipping species.
Breeding
Gold Neon Tetras are egg scatterers. Use fine-leaved plants or spawning mops for eggs. Adults may eat the eggs, so use a separate breeding tank or remove the parents after spawning.
The Gold Neon Tetra is a hardy, colorful, and lively fish that adds sparkle and activity to any freshwater aquarium.
