The Electric Yellow Cichlid is a vibrant and energetic freshwater fish native to Lake Malawi, Africa. Known for its striking bright yellow coloration and sleek body, this cichlid instantly becomes the focal point of any aquarium. Its peaceful yet active temperament makes it a popular choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.

Electric Yellow Cichlids thrive in aquariums with rocky structures, caves, and plenty of hiding spaces to establish territories. While generally peaceful compared to other Malawi cichlids, they can show mild territorial behavior, especially during breeding. They do best in groups with one male and several females or in a community of similar-sized cichlids.

Diet is omnivorous, with a preference for high-quality cichlid flakes or pellets, supplemented with occasional frozen or live foods. A balanced diet helps maintain their bright yellow color and overall health.
