Bloody Mary Shrimp
The Bloody Mary Shrimp is a stunning freshwater dwarf shrimp variety that has become very popular among aquarists for its deep, rich red coloration. Unlike other red Neocaridina types, Bloody Mary Shrimp display a unique translucent yet intense red shell that gives them a striking and elegant appearance in planted aquariums.
These shrimp are peaceful, active, and excellent members of a clean-up crew, feeding on algae, biofilm, and leftover food. Their small size makes them ideal for community aquariums with other peaceful tank mates, though they should not be kept with larger or aggressive fish that may see them as food.
Bloody Mary Shrimp thrive in well-planted aquariums with stable water conditions. They appreciate plenty of hiding spots created with plants, mosses, and driftwood. As with all Neocaridina shrimp, stable parameters and clean water are key to their health and successful breeding.
