| Who’s a fan of Oddball Fish?! Not only do these fish have a “funky appearance” but possess interesting behavior and underestimated intelligence. Here are some of our top picks:
1. AFRICAN BUTTERFLYFISH - PANTODON BUCHHOLZI This is a top dwelling fish that grows no bigger than 5 inches in size. A carnivore in nature, it will readily accept insects and small fish. Size is around 2-3 inches. 
2. Wrestling Halfbeak - Dermogenys pusilla
This beautiful livebearing fish has very vibrant platimum/silver colors and an eye-catching mouth. They are carnivores and can be fed a mixture of live or frozen foods as well as flakes. This oddball livebearer is super popular for its unique look and snout looking mouth. Though timid at first, they will become lively fish after adjusting to their new surroundings and can be kept in varying pH/water hardness levels and fresh to slightly brackish water! Size is about half an inch to 1 inch. Also known as the Malayan Halfbeak, Platinum Halfbeak or Silver Halfbeak Livebearer.
3. Royal Farlowella Catfish - Sturistoma sp. Also known as the Royal Twig Cat. This oddball sucker mouth catfish has an elongated body and thick armor, making it closely resemble the place (which it is closely related to). Size is about 1" - 1.25".
4. African Bush Fish 'Leopard Ctenopoma' - Ctenopoma acutirostre Also known as the Leopard Bush Fish or Spotted Climbing Perch or Spotted Leaf Fish. Size is about 2 inches roughly. Looks like a spotty leaf and can definitely blend in very well with natural environments! Caution needs to be taken with smaller tank mates.
5. Albino Giant Gourami - Osphronemus gourami
Very awesome fishes that do well with other larger fish, such as cichlids, etc.
A true lifelong pet as they're known to live for well over 20+ years.
6. Clown Knifefish - NOTOPTERUS CHITALA One of the most popular oddball fishes in the fish keeping hobby! Size is about 2-3 inches roughly. Currently feeding on fish pellets and bloodworms (both frozen and live).
6. GHOST GLASS CAT (KRYPTOPTERUS BICIRRHIS) Also known as Indian Ghosts, Ghost Fish, Glass Catfish, or Glass Cats. Size is about 2 inches roughly. Very cool fish with a body you can see right through! Very unique fish that gives a glimpse into the inside of the body, including their organs.
