I am writing to all of you today with concern over the last minute amendments made to the HR4521 that will severely affect the pet industry and hobby for millions of Americans. The pet industry is the livelihood for millions of hardworking Americans and is also an industry that promotes responsibility within animal care and welfare, therefore education is fostered. Many zoos and school programs would be affected and it will be detrimental to the livelihood of many pet industry business owners and their employees who rely on those jobs to support their family.

The pet industry and aquatics hobby is one that cannot be overlooked and with this unfair amendment to the HR4521 act, there isn't a voice to oppose this and the power lies within the Senate. We genuinely feel that not only will this wreak havoc within millions of Americans' livelihoods but it will prevent the future generation of potential hobbyists and pet industry professionals from being able to live out their passions and build upon a career that not only fosters education and responsibility but further adds detriment to many endangered species that are only kept in existence through the hard and diligent work from both hobbyists and industry professionals.

Many of us are in this pet and aquatics industry because we truly have an unconditional love for pets and aquarium keeping. We are simply not in this business to make profits but are working hard daily to spread the love and compassion we have for animals and their welfare and health.

Thank you so much, we trust you will take this into strong consideration and take a stance and oppose the unfair amendments made in Act HR4521.
