Very awesome fishes that do well with other larger fish, such as cichlids, etc.   Size is around 2". The Giant Gourami is a favorite for its huge size, interesting body shape and beautiful colors(red tail, albino, leucistic). Slow growing these fish can be put into appropriate sized “grow out” tanks. Excellent addition for a semi-aggressive Monster Fish tank with Catfish, Bichirs and very large Arowana. The albino variety has a complete lack of melanin mostly reflected in the eyes. The eyes of the Albino Giant Gourami lack melanin in the retina and iris creating “see through” eyes that show the red color of the blood cells.
