Some of The Newly Arrived Tropical Fish Stock This Week At Our Store

Posted by Roger Ma on on 12th Feb 2014

Hey everyone!  Hope you're enjoying Hump-Day (weekend is almost here)!

We got in some new fish stock this week here at our store!

A new batch of Green Spotted Puffer fish are in and are around 2 inches, already swimming around the tank actively searching for food.  We are currently feeding the GSP live food such as bloodworms and snails.

Another batch of fish that is in is the Tropheus Cichlid.  As with all Lake Tanganyika cichlids, they are extremely beautiful and have the potential to blossom into some of the most beautiful fishes you'll have in your aquarium.

A new stock of Black Ghost Knifefish are in as well!  Currently at around 3 inches or so.  Super cool nocturnal "oddball fishes" that people just love!

Black Neon Tetras have also arrived this week.  The Black Neon Tetra is one of the friendliest fish in nature and can be kept in community fish tanks and planted aquariums, making them very popular in the tropical fish keeping hobby!

Red Spotted Severums are also in as well.  The Red Severum cichlid is one of the friendliest fish in the cichlid family and can do well with other community fish that aren't normally kept with cichlids (though they cannot be too small in size).

Newly arrived batch of Mono Argentus are in as well. Monos are some of the prettiest fish out there and can live in both freshwater and saltwater though they do well in brackish!  Can be kept with puffers, gobies and other brackish water fishes.

And we just wanted to share a video of a super HUGE Arapaima Gigas we have here at the store.  We sold this guy when he was just 4-5 inches long and the customer brought him back 2 years later as a trade-in.  The Arapaima is now 18 inches long!  He is already sold to a customer who is building a 5,000 gallon tank, so he'll be living a very good life (and growing into the monster fish that Arapaima fishes are known for in the wild)!

Stay tuned for updates and always keep checking our site for updates and newly arrived fishes (Follow us on FaceBookInstagram too).  And do not hesistate to call us at 619-283-1812 or email us at info@petzonesd.com for fish you might not see on our site =)
