We're excited to annouce the two-year anniversary of our store here in the Convoy District of Kearny Mesa! As our special thank you to all of you, we will be having a free raffle contest, free workshops and a 20% OFF SALE in-store for the entire weekend (Friday July 6th - Sunday July 8th).

We wouldn't be where we are today without your support and want to give our appreciation to all of you!

There will be guest speakers, free workshops & lectures on how to aquascape, how to properly maintain your fish tank and also a raffle contest and of course a SPECIAL SALE for in-store.

We also wanted to give all of you the tentative schedule of workshops for our anniversary weekend:

**Friday, July 6th** 

6:00 – 6:15pm: First Raffle Contest

6:30pm – 7:50pm: Advanced aquascape (equilibrium/tank balance) workshop w/ open discussion, hosted by Jon.

**Saturday, July 7th**

11am: Free goodies to first 10 purchasing customers!

12:30 – 2:30pm: Tom Barr Lecture/Workshop: It’s an honor for us to have special guest Tom Barr co-host a workshop & lecture during our two-year anniversary here at Pet Zone Tropical Fish in July! Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 7th. We’re super excited and cannot wait to have the aquascape legend himself joining us! Woohoo!

3pm – 4pm: Aquascape Contest ($60 fee to join; UNS low-iron rimless tank, hardscape, substrate and plants included).

First prize winner gets $100 Pet Zone gift card, second prize winner gets $50 Pet Zone gift card, third prize gets $25 Pet Zone gift card. 

All participants also get to keep the tank and all aquascaping material/supplies used for their tank after contest.

**Minimum of 6 entrants, maximum of 12 entrants**

5:00 – 5:30pm: Fish/Aquatics Trivia – Person with most correct answers wins Pet Zone gift card of $20. Second place wins plant. Third place wins fish food.

6:30pm – 7:30pm: Hands-on aquascape workshop by Pet Zone team + guests build along with instructor ($30 fee: includes rimless tank, substrate, hardscape & plant). Get your hands wet and learn directly with us as we show you all the proper steps on how to aquascape a new planted tank.  The tank and all the aquascape materials + plants are yours to keep after the workshop!

8pm: Second raffle contest!

**Sunday, July 8th**

12pm – 1pm: Workshop – Aquascape 101.  Join us as we demonstrate how to properly setup an easy and simple low-tech planted tank.  Completed aquascape tank will be raffled at the very end of workshop to one lucky person in attendance.

4:00 – 4:30pm: Fish/Aquatics Trivia – Person with most correct answers wins Pet Zone gift card of $20. Second place wins plant. Third place wins fish food.

5:30pm: Third & final raffle
